Ant and honey on regular prisms and a cylinder – part 4

The mathematical puzzle “What is the shortest path between an ant and a drop of honey?” gets new possible solutions.

ABSTRACT

In the new version of the presentation “Ant and honey on regular prisms and a cylinder”, the shortest paths between two points on the surfaces of regular prisms are explored.
The author demonstrates that triangular and quadrilateral prisms can have four different shortest paths, rather than just three.
The paper includes graphical representations of the shortest paths on triangular prism, quadrilateral prism, pentagonal prism and hexagonal prism.
