Our company is committed to the preservation of nature and environment and follows and promotes the principles of sustainable development.
We regularly donate and help various institutions, non-profit organizations and socially beneficial projects and events. In the last few years, we have made donations and supported various humanitarian actions and quality sports events, in which our employees and their families are often involved.
Support of the humanitarian campaign “For Valent from the Heart”
In March 2024, we provided financial support for the rehabilitation costs of Valent Hrvatin. Valent is a young boy with cerebral palsy who additionally suffered a spinal artery infarction at the beginning of the year and was consequently almost completely immobile from the neck down.
The humanitarian campaign will last until June 20, 2024.
Project “C4TALENT” for sustainable development of the region
ISTRA TECH is a member of the Urbact Local Group, which aims to support cities in their efforts toward integrated and sustainable urban development projects.
As part of the EU project “URBACT – C4TALENT”, a spatial program study is planned for the abandoned Vallelunga military zone in Pula.
Donation for the project “My friend and I”
In October 2023, we provided financial support to the Cultural Association „Kolajnica” for the realization of the project „My Friend and I”. The project is carried out in the form of workshops with children and young people from poor financial conditions from Šibenik-Knin and Istria counties.
The goal of the project is to involve children and their future friends in workshops through joint creative expression and to encourage tolerance and solidarity in society.
Sponsorship for the Student Business Incubator (SPIN)
In March 2023, we sponsored the decoration of the premises of the Student Business Incubator within the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula.
The goal is to enable university students to use the space, computers and telecommunications equipment nedeed for performing their activities. In addition to the necessary infrastructure for the realization of projects, students are offered the possibility of counseling through mentoring for the purpose of shaping business ideas, and they are provided with all the important information and knowledge for their entrepreneurial ventures.
Donation for the project “No one hungry”
In December 2020 and January 2021, we participated in the „NO ONE HUNGRY” campaign. The project is launched by Rotary club Pula in cooperation with restaurant Punkt Pula and the Istrian County charity, Association Institute Pula. The idea of this project is to help the poor and homeless throughout the year.
Thanks to this project, cooked meals and food packages were distributed during the holidays, and it is possible for us all to continue helping so each user can get a hot meal every day.
Financial support to earthquake victims in Petrinja
In a series of earthquakes in Petrinja and its surroundings, the most devastating of which was 6.2 on the Richter scale, several lives were lost and a huge number of families were left homeless.
We hope that our small contribution will help find enough others to return life to normal in the entire affected area as soon as possible.
Financial and material support to the Association “OUR DREAM THEIR SMILE”
The mission of the humanitarian association “Our dream is their smile” is to help people. In ten years of existence, they have gained great public trust, based on transparent work and checking the life situation of each individual user.
We supported the work of the association with a monetary donation from the company and through donations from the company’s employees of food and household supplies.
We hope that our donation will bring smiles to many people who need it.
Donation to the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management
In February 2018, we provided financial support to the Faculty of Management in Tourism and Hospitality Opatija for the 8th Intercultural meeting of the Southeast European management departments.
The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management is the leader of scientific and professional research and education in the field of tourism, catering and sustainable development in Croatia.
Sponsorship for Regional Case Study (RCS)
Our company sponsored the Regional Case Study (RCS) project, business case study competition for the youth and students.
Real business cases are designed by companies from different professional fields and presented to competitors who then propose their solutions.
So far, many companies have recognized the possibility of recruiting new employees through this project, and also, access to innovative and creative business solutions for their business.
This project is created by the Start-Up Association, which has been operating since 2010 and has been implementing numerous successful projects and programs to promote entrepreneurship and recruitment of young generations.
This year’s 5th edition of the Regional Case Study (RCS) project started on 12 December 2017, when companies (Partners) presented their business cases.
More than 300 young people, mostly students, from all over Croatia, joined the competition and offered their solution for one of the presented business cases.
The competition’s closing ceremony was held at the Shipyard Pub on 15 February 2018, where most succesful students were awarded for their solutions.
Support for the humanitarian race “Life as a Gift”
In February 2017, we provided financial support to Croatia donor network for organization of humanitarian event in running and walking, which took place on February 19 in Nature Park Kamenjak (Premantura, Pula).
The race was joined Goran Maržić from ISTRA TECH and everyone interested, where they also donated a charitable contribution to the education of new educators and medical students in Croatia.
The aim of the race, apart from the organ donation promotion, is to inform the public about the opportunities it provides.
Support for the Children’s Camp “Sun and Adventure”
The Cerebral Paralysis Association of the Istria County was founded with the basic goal of improving the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy.
In 2016, we provided financial support for the summer camp for children with cerebral palsy, which has been organized for a number of years in a row by this Association.
Sponsorship for the Star Wars Day
In April 2016 we sponsored the International Day of Board Games 2016, dedicated to Star Wars theme. The event was organized by the Association Zaigrana koza and was held on April 30 in the Italian Community Pula (Circolo).
Donation to the sports recreation company “Maraton-Uljanik”
In November 2016, we donated funds to the Sports and Recreation Association “Maraton-Uljanik” to support the activities of sports recreation.
Support Association “OUR DREAM THEIR SMILE”
In November 2016, we provided support to the humanitarian association “Our Dream of Their Smile”, to be part of the Christmas Humanitarian Action One for Another.
Donation to the Tennis Club “Banjole”
In December 2016, we donated funds to the Tennis Club Banjole to support the purchase of materials needed for club activities.
Help for the Cerebral Paralysis Association of the Istria County
In March 2015, we participated in the auction of pictures by children with cerebral palsy, and in May, we made a donation as part of the project Swimming for children and young people with cerebral paralysis.
The project aims to enable quality rehabilitation for children through a swimming training program in the therapeutic pool throughout the year.
Support to sports recreation activities
In May 2015, we donated funds to the Sports and Recreation Association “Maraton-Uljanik” that brings together fans of marathon running.
IRONMAN 70.3 – Triathlon Race
In August 2015, we provided financial support for the famous world race Ironman 70.3 and are pleased to have participated in an event that gathered more than 100 thousand participants from 58 countries, in which also joined Goran Maržić from ISTRA TECH.
Support to improve sport among children
In December 2015, we donated funds to the Center Planet Sport from Pula to promote sport among children.
The Planet Sports Center has been active since 2005, and as part of this Center, also operates Taekwondo Club Istria and Kickboxing Club Planet sport, which for many years have successfully won the European and world medals.
Donation to the Association “Sunflower”
The Sunflower Association from Velika Gorica was founded with the aim of encouraging actions and measures in the promotion of integration, care and social status of people with disabilities, rehabilitation, recreation and sports. In March 2014, we donated personal computers to the Sunflower Association in order to support it in fulfilling its goals more easily.
Help for the Cerebral Paralysis Association of the Istria County
In April 2014, we participated in the auction of pictures by children with cerebral paralysis, and in June we supported the organization of summer camp for children with cerebral palsy. Summer camp was held for the sixth year in a row and children were entertained every day with lots of workshops, tricks and performances.
Donation to the Sports and Recreation Association
In May 2014, after becoming aware of the importance of physical activity for the human health and spirit, their positive effects on the mutual harmony and tolerance of the community, and encouraging the society to participate in these activities, we decided to donate funds to the Sports and Recreation Association “Maraton-Uljanik”.
Donation for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
In September 2014, we donated funds for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It is a serious neurological disease that causes muscle weakness and loss of normal bodily functions.
Donation to the Rotary Club Dubrovnik
Rotary Club Dubrovnik is a non-profit organization that brings together young people interested in humanitarian work with the aim of improving the community in which they live and work.
Through donation to this organization, in December 2014, we have supported a humanitarian action “Let us ease the life path” to help Home for Children and Young Adults “Maslina Dubrovnik”.
Support for organization of summer camp for children with CP
In February 2013, we donated funds to help organize summer camp for children members of the Cerebral Paralysis Association and children from Poland who are in stable condition after chemotherapy.
Donation for the promotion of the art of photography
In February 2013, we donated computer equipment to Amateur Photographers Club from Sveti Lovreč, to help promoting the art of photography and its techniques, and accordingly, to encourage people to organize their free time in a positive way by doing different kinds of creative activities.
Donation to the Tennis Club “Veli Jože”
For the purpose of encouraging and motivating society to become involved in sports activities and to help communities that contribute to this, we provided financial support to the Tennis Club “Veli Jože” to organize the first veterans winter tennis league in southern Istria.
Support to the Initiative “Nova”
The initiative “Nova” is an organization whose activities are based on providing material help in order to enable basic living conditions for people in our society.
In February 2012, we supported humanitarian action of this Initiative with desire for long-term successful work of these types of organizations and that more funds are directed to those who need it most.
Support to Amateur Photographers Club “Sveti Lovreč”
In April 2012, we donated computer equipment to Amateur Photographers Club from Sveti Lovreč. Considering the importance of the creative expression of individuals and encouraging society to spend their free time doing similar types of activities, on this occasion we donated funds for the promotion of the art of photography and its techniques.
Donation to the homeless shelter Pula
In June 2012, we donated equipment to the City Red Cross Society for the humanitarian needs of homeless shelters.
The activities of this society are related to the promotion of humanitarian goals of general social benefit. The association operates in the Istrian County in the area of the City of Pula, the City of Vodnjan and the municipalities of Barban, Fažana, Ližnjan, Marčana, Medulin and Svetvinčenat.

In June 2011, we donated funds for summer camp organization for children members of the Cerebral Paralysis Association and children from Poland who are in stable condition after chemotherapy.
Support to School of Upbringing and Education Pula
School of Upbringing and Education from Pula is the oldest and largest special educational institution in Istria, which consists of primary and secondary school.
In June 2012, we have supported this school in the implementation of the project Healthy adventure for children with multiple disabilities in age from 7 to 21 years.
Donation to Chess club Pula
Chess club from Pula works since 1949 and has evolved over the years into the strongest club in Istria, which makes it very good school for young people.
Recognizing the importance and necessity of such sport activities in society and the quality of this club, in June 2012, we donated computers to Chess Club Pula for the purposes of informatization to work with children.
Support to Triathlon Club Pula
In June 2012, we donated funds for sport purposes of Triathlon Club from Pula. The main objective of the club is to improve sports activities through Triathlon school for children from 5 years of age.
Help for the Cerebral Paralysis Association of the Istria County
In June 2011, we donated funds for summer camp organization for children members of this Association and children from Poland who are in stable condition after chemotherapy.
Support to Muscular Dystrophy Association of Istria
In July 2011, we provided support to Muscular Dystrophy Association of Istria for printing annual publication “Istrian Gen” which speaks about activities of this Association and is published under the project Integration of Istria Muscular Dystrophy.
The goal is to inform the public about the opportunities, rights, needs and responsibilities of people with muscular dystrophy, as well as the humanitarian activities and the problems of the Association members.
Donation to Informatics Society Pula
Informatics Society of Pula is an association that brings together teachers and university professors in the field of information technology, whose goals are to improve the IT skills of all people in education, to assist in the computer literacy of elementary school students, as well as enable additional education to more advanced children.
In October 2011, we donated funds for C++ workshop and organization for high school competition.
