However, these systems, belonging to statistical artificial intelligence (AI), are not without problems, particularly in the area of reasoning. In contrast, symbolic AI, although not in the spotlight today, excels in reasoning. Therefore, research teams in scientific institutions and large companies are currently making significant efforts to merge these two approaches, symbolic AI and statistical AI, into a hybrid approach.<\/p>\n<p>The paper briefly introduces the Prolog programming language and its foundations in logical programming and mathematical logic.
