{"id":3151,"date":"2004-12-01T10:15:27","date_gmt":"2004-12-01T10:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.istratech.hr\/?p=3151"},"modified":"2021-07-12T12:08:36","modified_gmt":"2021-07-12T12:08:36","slug":"101-plsqltipac-five-pl-sql-types-from-the-company-istria-information-engineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.istratech.hr\/en\/101-plsqltipac-five-pl-sql-types-from-the-company-istria-information-engineering\/","title":{"rendered":"101 PLSQLTIPAC (5 PL \/ SQL types from the company Istria information engineering)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The paper presents five PL \/ SQL types.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first PL \/ SQL type is a recursive function that allows tables  (bases) to be sorted by FK dependency, without the use of a temporary  (auxiliary) table.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second PL \/ SQL type shows how a ref cursor variable whose record structure is not known in advance, can be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> The third PL \/ SQL type shows how collections can be (indirectly) used in the Reports module.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fourth PL \/ SQL type shows how, despite what is written in the Oracle PL \/ SQL manual, it is still possible to create an UPDATE of an individual element of the VARRAY collection through pure SQL (without PL \/ SQL).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fifth PL \/ SQL type shows the use of new (from database 9.0) ANYDATA \/ ANYTYPE data types and new features (from database 9.2) of the INSERT \/ UPDATE record variable (both used in the example to solve \u201cgeneric\u201d INSERT) .  <br><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"more\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.istratech.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2004\/12\/hroug2004.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">VIEW LECTURE<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABSTRACT The paper presents five PL \/ SQL types.
